“Do What You Can, With What You Have, Where You Are.”
-Theodore Roosevelt
Known as a man of action its easy to take seriously a quote from Theodore Roosevelt. It is fitting to take a deeper look into his words and apply them to CrossFit.
“Do What You Can.”
A simple but powerful statement. What you CAN do is different from what you THINK you can do. The mind will often convince the flesh that it is capeable of less than it actually is. The key is to DO, in spite of, or absent of limiting thoughts, but with a willingness to sacrifice, so that you can discover where your limits are. Only then will you know what it is possible to do.
“With What You Have”
This picture says it all. You have the human spirit which is able to overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles.
“Where You Are.”
Thankfully where you are is in the Capes Finest CrossFit Community. The people and coaching make it 100% possible to maximize your results. Weather its side by side inside, or doing thrusters and burpees in the rain outside,”where you are” is the best place you could be to do the most you can, with what you have. I think Roosevelt would agree, and I bet he would be next to us in the rain.
