Its very inspiring to see everyone else pushing themselves so in turn easier for me to do the same.

I get crazy competitive. Which is both effective AND ineffective.

There’s nothing like working out with a group….it’s inspiring, fun, and makes you work that much harder. I love the big classes – watching and listening to everyone ask each other how they did, helping put weights and equipment away…it’s what makes crossfit so appealing and awesome!

Couldn’t have said it better Traci! Nicely put:-)

Well, over the past 4+ years, wodding with the C3 group has inspired and encouraged me. The group has challenged me. It awoke my crazy competitive side, which pushed me to accomplish feats I never thought possible! It helped me to then curb my crazy competitive side, which helped me to appreciate my strengths while allowing myself to have weakness (that I’ll never be allowed to stop working on, lol). I know this is way more deep than mark was probably going for, but wodding with this group has effected way more than just my workouts. Pretty sure it’s changed just about every aspect of my my self:)

It’s always fun to be with a group that motivates you to do better ! We are all always trying to reach our personal bests and when ur in a group of people that are constantly pushing you towards your goals there’s no place to go but up!

As far as working out with the group, there is no comparison, not even close, in all respects such as fun, intensity, or effectiveness. I know both ways because of necessity I do my CrossFit on my own during the summer in my garage gym. I have the same equipment, do the same WODs, but it is nowhere near the same, not even the warm up. The trainers and fellow athletes are what make it special. People are after all social beings.

We had to do the WOD in 2 heats because of the numbers. I liked it because we got a chance to cheer each other on.

I find everyone motivating. If you are stepping on a box or the fastest person in the gym. If you are doing your best you make me want to do my best. I really really love working out and coaching big groups. I love the energy in the room.

I love working out with a group. I have never been able to motivate myself to work out on my own, and I have never actually looked forward to working out like I do now.

  17. OldNatickRookie Reply

Like Kelly said, left to myself I don’t workout. I need the “pack” to keep me motivated.

    5+5 Rx- couldn’t keep up w/ Alan’s 6+ rnds.

Mark- when we move, you can leave the boxes at the old gym.

Working out in a group is what sets crossfit apart from all the other gyms. It’s what I love the best..
