    True die hards at the 6am! This was rough. A total gasser with the over the bar burpees. I have no idea what my time was lol. Thanks mark for opening for us!

    9:23 – agree with you Sarah!
    Then I did the interval row WOD from yesterday – 2547. That was tough!!!! I couldn’t hit 275 so I worked at staying over 250 each time. Wow.

    According to Oxford Dictionaries Online, the exercise was named in the 1930s for American physiologist Royal H. Burpee, who developed the burpee test. He earned a PhD in applied physiology from Columbia University in 1940 and created the “burpee” exercise as part of his PhD thesis as a quick and simple way to assess fitness.[2] The exercise was popularized when the United States Armed Services adopted it as a way to assess the fitness level of recruits when the US entered WWII. Consisting of a series of the exercises performed in rapid succession, the test was meant to be a quick measure of agility, coordination and strength.[3]

    What I contemplated in my basement while attempting 100 burpees:
    1. While the floor looks quite clean, it’s actually very dusty. 2. If your last name is Burpee, it might not be the best idea to name your son Royal. 3. I shall not ever workout alone in my basement ever again, ever. I love me some C3.

    Did 65# front squats to try and save the shoulder for the last open wod! Woohoo

    Sorry for the kooky schedule today, hopefully that was the last bad weather we get for a long time! Now…to focus on running more!
