WOD

“Tabata Something Else”

Complete 32 intervals of 20 seconds of work followed by ten seconds of rest where the first 8 intervals are pull-ups, the second 8 are push-ups, the third 8 intervals are sit-ups, and finally, the last 8 intervals are air squats. The clock does not stop and there is no rest between exercises.

What if there were something that we were all consuming everyday that was effecting our health in a very negative way. There was no nutritional value to it-in fact it took nutrients from our body. It causes weight gain, negatively affects our mood, can age the skin by effecting collagen, dehydrates and constipates those who ingest it-for starters. That would be crazy right-if people knew that, then they would stop eating it-right. Well it’s called sugar and the fact is that people who should know better, people who suffer the negative side effects daily-still eat sugar every day. With all the negative things that sugar does to our health why would any one eat it? Only one reason-one measly stinkin reason. It’s not because it makes anybody happy because research has proven that it contributes to clouded thinking and depression. Better be a pretty dang good reason right? Well it’s actually not-“I like the taste” Seriously? If you really think on this one it is such a bad trade off- Sweetness for sound health! Need more proof?     Giving up cream in my coffee is akin to giving up my first born, so
    I tried light coconut milk in my coffee instead of half and half this morning. It wasn’t bad.
