Congratulations to Jeanette Watka who competed in the cranberry crunch rowing competition and posted an 11 second PR on her 2k earning her fourth in that event and a 6 second PR that earned her first place in the 500 meters!

If you’ve ever wondered what would happen if a nonspecialist CrossFitter competed against trained specialists in their event-the road races last fall (10k & 5k )and Jeanette’s performance should paint a pretty clear picture-now to storm the local triathlon circuit this summer!

Burpees+ the Alzheimer’s Bracelet= Invincible?

Check out all of the cool things that they are accomplishing with CrossFit over at Steve’s Club in this article.

Jeanette, AWESOME JOB!!! Congrats! What was your time? Drew wants to know what the mens time was as well if you remember. Sorry we missed, and can’t wait to see you rowing again at C3.

I think Jeannette’s CUTE (and a great rower)

    There I said it.

Thanks everyone! It was definitely the power bracelet – thanks, Mike!!
I knew I had given it my all when I nearly fell getting off the rower – my quads just weren’t ready to hold me up.
Drew, I think the winning men’s time was 6:42, but I’m not sure. I don’t know what their 500 time was. I did the 2K in 8:43 and the 500 in 1:54. And, I learned a lot by watching – I think I’ve been wasting a lot of energy through unnecessary movements – my times will come down, I know.
We should put a team together for next year – we’d definitely bring home a win!

    Jeanette,

As much as I would like the purple power band to take the credit (so more people will donate to get one) it was all you. Great Job, you rock!
