Oh Danielle! Keep going! I feel the same way sometimes-believe me- I’m on my second sickness since the challenge has started and I find these to be the most challenging times. It’s so hard to workout after being sick but it only takes a few days then you’ll be back to your old self! You know what keeps me going?? Bathing suit season! Ahhhhhh!!!!! But really, we have all worked so hard at this- let’s keep going:)

    Preach it Erin!
I am not the “You need to get skinny to look good in that bikini!” type of trainer, but let’s face it no one ever got to the moment of truth on the beach and regretted looking their best.

I’m going til the end cause that’s what we all signed up for – but I’m ready for it to be over! Kinda tired of writing everything down and scouring ingredient lists. On the other hand, it feels great to be in such good shape and know that it’s from doing this challenge. That being said, I will continue eating paleo long after the challenge is over – just won’t feel so guilty when I have a piece of dark chocolate or the dreaded bacon with a little sugar in it!

Danielle, I’ve been feeling overwhelmed lately – mostly cause the end is so near and I worked out once last week and know I will be able to come to C3 only 4 or 5 more times between now and the end of the challenge. Disappointing but sometimes life (sickness, kids, work) just gets in the way. I just have to remind myself how far I’ve come and not let non WOD days get to me. It’s tempting to throw in the towel on the nutrition part when I can’t do the workouts… but really that doesn’t make a whole lot of sense! So, buck up and let’s get through this thing!!!!

Ok Danielle….. You have been a rockstar during this entire challenge (props to all you strict paleo eaters) the end is near, take a deep breath and plow forward….. What you find challenging now will pale in comparison to the pride you will feel once you have accomplished your goal. Kinda like the filthy fifty…. Sucks so bad while your doing it but when your done (no matter how long it took me) I felt accomplished, proud and kinda like I could do anything. Personally I think paleos harder….. So no matter how you look come summer rock that bathing suit and know you are fabulous. Ranting done. Ps… Feel better soon.

What a wonderful family we have at C3. I’d kiss ya all if I were not sick. I agree with Nettie that this is the way to eat for good because you just feel so clean. It is really weird how you miss a number of workouts and then the idea of CrossFit starts to look insurmountable. I will not give up though. Unfortunately I REcaught this awful cold/cough thing from sleeping with boogie faced kids but eventually I will be back. I will continue to post about funky ways to eat your turkey burgers and hopefully I will see everybody next week.

    Love you guys, Danielle

I’ve been in a real cooking mood lately, and just wanted to say thank you again to everyone who has posted recipes, they have really made eating paleo so much easier. Drew especially loved the wicked good paleo stuffing, while I’m currently hooked on paleo apple crisp. We excited to try the carrot scallion latkes tomorrow.

    Danielle, I miss seeing you!

I hope you feel better. In my experience, being sick kind of tests me emotionally. I suppose workouts provide me a great outlet for stress, energy and frustration. In other words, being sick brings my whole outlook down. Once you start feeling better, you will bounce right back ready to kill some wods, and dominate this challenge.

Hang in there, CrossFit Mama! You got this!!!!
